Council adopts cannabis retail rules and $1.5M capital program

NJ BARRINGTON — Council approves cannabis retail framework and $1.518M capital program. Mayor Hanson's government adopted three cannabis-related ordinances permitting Class 3 retail operations in commercial zones and a $1.143 million bond ordinance for capital improvements including $697,685 in anticipated state grants, with a separate $375,000 capital appropriation from the Capital Improvement Fund also introduced for first reading. The 22-item consent agenda including a $6.456 million May bill list passed unanimously.
Council also administered oaths to new Borough Clerk Denise Moules and Officer Nicholas Gagliardi, Jr.
