Council approves $1.14M in capital improvements bond

NJ BARRINGTON — Barrington Borough Council adopted a $1.14 million bond ordinance for 2026 capital improvements, with $697,685 in grant funding and $423,049 in new borrowing authorized. The council voted unanimously on the measure along with a separate $375,000 capital appropriation ordinance and an AFSCME compensation ordinance. Mayor Hanson swore in Vincent Speakman as Patrolman in the Police Department.

The council also approved the June bill list totaling $1,357,489.24 and recognized high school graduate Ryan Bailey for his commitment to enter the Coast Guard.
